Short and sweet.
That's the aim of this profile - not me!
I smile and laugh a lot.
A cheek and irreverent sense of humour has held me in good stead since school and kept me smiling and chuckling through most things.
But it's compassion and kindness that are my mainstay and what attracts me most to others.
I'll be described by friends, family and colleagues as the smiling, friendly "life and soul" which is true.
But there's nothing I like more than the quiet seclusion of a woodland walk or the sound of the sea on a deserted beach.
I love to dress up and imagine I'm blending in seamlessly with the "sophisticates" in town.
But then, equally, love to stride along in muddy boots with the wind and rain blowing all the cares away.
I enjoy keeping fit and walk whenever I can the gym where I'm afraid I'll be heard singing along with a Spotify playlist or listening to a podcast.
Not as good as dancing obviously but keeps the heart rate up!
I've travelled a lot and been lucky to stay with several families overseas - always a very different experience to a "holiday".
I've walked in the Canaries, the US and Canadian Rockies.
My best friend lives in San Francisco which is firmly my favourite city.
Voluntary work in Eastern Europe was an experience that changed my perspective on life.
So ...... I'm that busy, bustling person with a ready smile.
But I'd really love to sit still with the right person one day.

Short and sweet I guess?

Well, it's difficult to sum up who I am. We're all contradictions aren't we?
On the one hand I'll be described by friends, family, children and colleagues as the smiling, friendly "life and soul" which is true.
But then there's nothing I like more than the quiet seclusion of a woodland walk or the sound of the sea on a deserted beach.
I love to dress up and imagine I'm blending in seamlessly with the sophisticated in town (ideally a gallery, museum, cathedral - people watching with delicious coffee).
But then I equally love to stride along a rutted path in muddy boots with the wind and rain blowing all the cares away (perfection being by a stormy sea with the sun breaking through).
I keep really fit and walk everywhere.
I enjoy the gym so long as Spotify is with me on the treadmill playing all the music that I used to dance to so much. It's not quite the dancing anymore but amazing how the loud music keeps my pace up!
