I am an interesting person - I have lots of hobbies, interests and experiences.
I have lots of amazing and wonderful friends of both sexes and a wide variety of ages from 8 to 80+. Friends are the riches of life, for me.
I am kind and helpful but please don't take advantage of me.
I have had a lot of very varied experiences in life, different jobs, lived in great places.
I am very self-sufficient and independent.
I love animals, country and sea locations. Not a great one for foreign travel, still so much of beauty and interest to see here in the UK.
I love gardening and craft work, I write stories and poems. Love my computer and won't be parted from my smart phone for long!
I have been involved in bereavement counselling, healing and relaxing meditational work.
I like to live a healthy life but stray off the pathway happily ever now and then.
I like my own fireside in the evenings, mainly. Daytime will see me visiting stately homes, National Trust properties, garden centres or lunch somewhere nice.
I was a Landscape gardener for many years and am passionate about gardening. Unfortunately I am not as fit as I was so can't do the heavy stuff anymore.
I was also an IT trainer so love my computer.
I would love to meet a gentleman who could be a friend, a companion, maybe some romance but I am not looking for someone to fix my life and I don't want to be seen as some part of a solution to a life full of problems either. This is a perfect time in life when we have freedom to enjoy the simple things in life, made even better if they are shared with a friend of like mind.

I would like to meet someone who is open minded, intelligent, reasonably well educated ( if only in the University of Life). Someone who is interested in many different things, doesn't want to spend every evening in the pub, good sense of humour, an interest in the spiritual side of life, is kind and caring and knows how to be a good friend in the bad times as well as the good times.
A Daniel Craig or Martin Shaw look alike would be an added bonus!!!
Our relationship wouldn't work if it was one sided. Sharing, caring, smiles and mutual respect would be essential components, for me.
I would like to share times out by the sea and in the country, lunches out, picnics in the mountains, walks with my dog - but I don't walk long distances or up steep hills any more. I would like to share quiet homely evenings, lively discussions, comfortable silences, hobbies, interests and cuddles.
Deal breakers would be a person with so much baggage that they want to compare me with and judge me by previous partners. Too much reliance on alcohol would be a problem for me but I enjoy a glass of wine now and then. A smoker would be a no-no too or somebody who was very overweight and unfit for that reason.
