About him
I am a doer, an adventure seeker, an explorer of the inner and outer worlds, widely diverse in my interests and activities, undaunted by life's challenges, confident, a bit rebellious, and outdoorsy athletic. I believe life should be lived, not spent parked in front of a TV.
As a professor of psychology I have educated thousands, but I've also done more - raised three have bright, successful children, designed the homes I've lived in, written a book, volunteered to save some great natural places, traveled extensively, lived abroad for short periods, and learned (more or less) a second language. I lead a healthy lifestyle, eat vegetarian, and try to have a minimal impact on the environment. I spend my summers in North Carolina and my winters in Wisconsin (ask me why), but am willing to break my routine. I'm very mobile.
I am comfortable going against the grain. I root for the underdog. I like to consider myself both rural and urbane.
I'd hope you'd find me warm, charming, talented, witty, gentle, romantic, strong, adventuresome. But you'll have to find out for yourself.
