About her
I’m looking for a partner in crime. I’ve decided that I am NOT going to grow old gracefully and I intend being known as a ‘character’ rather than a well behaved ‘lady’.
I love animals so need someone who isn’t allergic to them as I have two small dogs who, at the moment are my rocks. I’ve also got two mogs.
I love going to the theatre, ballet and concerts. I’ve just taken out an Odeon Limitless membership as I’ve re-discovered the fun in going to the flicks. I love to cook and bake and am told I’m quite good at it. I’ve just discovered the joys of making jam, but prefer to use fruit that I’ve scrumped. It tastes better.
I’m into nature (NOT naturism!) and have been learning lots from our local gamekeeper about the fauna in my nearest Royal Palace’s Park.
I’m irreverent, mostly well mannered (the result of going to a boarding school many moons ago), can occasionally lapse into bouts of colourful language (the result of being an old theatrical).
I am retired but had a career as a ballet dancer and then went on to do all sorts of commercial dance including TV, films, musicals etc. When I hung up the pointe and tap shoes I went into TV production as a stage manager, spending many happy hours working on drama, situation comedy, light entertainment and children’s’ programmes including ‘Sooty’ and ‘Rainbow’. My claim to fame is that I made Sweep’s mum-only to be told that she looked like me. I also learned the art of puppeteering from Matt Corbett so was able to add that particular skill to my CV! I’ve also been a horse and carriage driver a few years ago and my last gainful employment was working with my late husband, who was a builder, advising clients on their interiors and sourcing items for them.
I am now determined to enjoy life after a few less than wonderful months (pre COVID-19) and make up for lost time.
