About her
Friends would say that I have a great sense of humor, that I’m fun to be around and that I am a thoughtful, caring, and kind person. They say that I am not too shabby to look at, too.
I consider myself to be a romantic, tactile, honest, funny, intelligent, and all round nice gal. I care deeply about those close to me.
I moved back home to Scotland three years ago after living in the U.S. for 27 years. Muddled accent? Yes! It has been an adjustment, but worth it, except for the fact that my daughter attends University in America and I miss her very much.
I am not working at the moment due to having a mental illness (PTSD). It does not define me though. (If this puts you off, then so be it. Maybe you should read all about it). I do, however, have a pretty decent eBay business going which takes up a lot of my time and I am planning to volunteer in the near future, hopefully in the mental health field.
I am not a materialistic woman. Don’t really care about “things” and designer labels, etc. I don’t even like shopping, although I do like looking around antique stores, old book stores, and going to craft fairs.
I love most kinds of music and going to live gigs. I plan on picking up classical guitar again after many years to see if I can remember how to play. I also enjoy reading, writing, drawing and cooking. I also like getting in the car and driving with no destination in mind. Nice walks in this beautiful country are also lovely, especially hand in hand with someone who is wonderful to be with.
I also want to get back into road cycling and Spinning (I was a Spinning Instructor for a few years in the States) at some point. I had a bad accident which meant I had to have back surgery.
I love watching sports. Tennis, golf, rugby, boxing, etc. I miss going to American football and baseball games.
I like eating out or going for a wee dram, but I am equally happy to stay at home with someone special, cooking some nice grub, then cuddled up on the couch and watching a movie.
