About her
I live an active lifestyle, working part-year in forestry/tourism/eco-education and enjoy dinghy sailing in my spare time as an Instructor and as a crew member of a local yacht club. I go hiking and Lake swimming throughout the year and run a small B&B. I'm enthusiastic and cheerful generally but there's never quite enough time to fit everything in!
I try to live upholding green principles but think some air travel is necessary to continue to link individuals throughout the world for understanding, tolerance and a chance for peace. I prefer travelling with a goal in mind, such as volunteering for an eco-project or exploring a forest. There are so many places I haven't been to yet - but Chile/Patagonia looks promising! I've just come back from visiting family in China
I like tea and kindness and people who believe that sun-rises and every-day things are amazing.
I dislike large cities and sun-bathing on crowded beaches and crowds in general really.
About her ideal match
I am looking for someone who is relatively fit and active and enjoys independent travelling to explore a place and give something back. Preferably simple accommodation or van or boat because it's a challenge and more fun and you meet real people. They would need a sense of humour, an enquiring mind, ideally with some DIY and survival skills. If they had a mind to take the Dayskipper course that would be fun..
Hiking, cooking, playing scrabble, trying something new, working together on a project, being quiet for writing and reading, conversation .
Honestly, this is very difficult! Companionship can work with opposites or similars and success or not often boils down to toothpaste and tidyness.
