My friends would probably describe me as an eccentric as I am a free spirit. I love travel and if not going somewhere love to read and watch tv programmes on anything to do with it. Simon Reeve is one of my favourites. I also like the travelling chefs such as Rick Stein and Gino d’Campo, James Martin. I have travelled to a few places and as I am lucky enough to have family on the other side of the world I get many opportunities to go. I would also love to see more of Europe. My dream is to travel the Swiss railways. I am a keen Proms enthusiast and would love to go. I like walking, swimming, reading. Would love to learn more languages too. Although I have never sailed, I have a desire to try sailing.
About her ideal match
I would like to meet someone who has joie de vivre and likes to get up and go somewhere often. Preferably their children are grown up and getting on with their lives as is mine. I don’t mind if they have a dog. Someone who reads and has the same curiosity about the world as I have. Also if they know world history, geography and politics I find that interesting too. I don’t want someone who spends his life in a pub!
