About her
I think that I am a fairly quiet person but, in the right circumstances can be bubbly and friendly. Like everyone the lockdown completely isolated me and I have had difficulty in restarting my life. I need to lose weight as I tend to eat when I am bored. I can't stand smoking and, quite frankly, I do not like a lot of facial hair. I like to go to the theatre (I belong to the local theatre). Visiting National Trust properties. Trips to the sea (I love to be by water of any kind); Eating in good restaurants and City breaks. I belong to the local U3A and run 3 groups of Single Sunday lunch groups as so many older people who are widowed or divorced feel lonely on Sundays if they have no family nearby. To relax I love to read, watch good films and, before the pandemic, I loved to walk and visit places like Rutland Water. I think my outlook on life is generally optimistic although, with current times this can be difficult, especially if your family are suffering. I have a son and a daughter in their late 40s. 7 grandchildren and am about to become a Great Grandmother! All very exciting but extremely expensive at certain times of the year.
About her ideal match
My ideal partner would be somebody with a kind soul. Friendly, loving and taking me - warts and all. Someone who smiles a lot and has a twinkle in his eye. He must also be tolerant of my very old and very vocal rescue cat. (I am the epitome of an old lady! - apart from the knitting).
I'm afraid that a deal breaker for me would be somebody who smoked. I have lost several members of my family (and friends) who have died as a result of lung cancer etc.
