Smart, sharp, savvy, Scot often mistaken for a Swede, though not of the turnip variety I hasten to add.
Having recently met up with several – formerly single - female friends who are now in fulfilling relationships with their life partners, I can no longer ignore the fact that life does indeed appear to be much richer with a nearest and dearest.
Travel and adventures are being had that would not have been undertaken alone, laughter is being shared and two much fuller lives are being lived.
I’m not suffering from envy, but I am wondering why I am denying myself the potentially fulfilling riches of a relationship. Other than a stubborn refusal to undertake the excruciating process of online dating, there is no good reason to deny myself any longer, so here I find myself, challenging my resistance.
I am more than capable and self-reliant, couple that with practical skills and creative vision, throw in a dash of determination, et voila, one completely resourceful person.
I am not a helpless female which I have been told men like! Really? Presumably a generalisation which ought to have the word “some” inserted before men. If you are one of those men you have probably given up reading by now so I won’t expect to hear from you.
I of course, have my shortcomings and there are plenty of gaps in my knowledge, I certainly don’t claim otherwise, therefore ideally looking for my equal, a counterbalance with a different set of skills but enough shared values, who is also looking for a meaningful relationship with much (more) laughter and a real connection.
