About him
I am less than a 15 minute walk from the seafront at Lowestoft and there is a lovely long promenade there with gardens and lots of benches to sit on and look out to sea.
I have a large south facing garden which I have been attempting to bring under some semblance of control. The battle this year is with the dreaded bindweed which is a recurring nightmare. At the end of each summer I seem to have won a great victory over it but it regroups its forces over the winter and comes back again the following year with vengeance. Sadly though I don't have green fingers so all I can do is my best and hope it works out OK. As they say, I have to think outside the box, and I have had some success this year with a sneaky and possibly unconventional manoeuvre which might make a true gardener wince. That doesn't matter though because to an unknowledgeable amateur like me it's the results that count.
I like the fresh air and I have some nice places to walk, and sitting in the garden is very relaxing too, or in the garden room if it's raining or very windy.
I watch documentaries and films on Sky but I'm not keen on horror or romance movies. My trusty Kindle provides further relaxation and a handful of crosswords a day helps to keep the brain ticking over.
I feel the time is right to seek out some company for mutually fun times because I'm not getting any younger and I don't want to turn into a hermit. I am a bit shy at times until I get to know you, perhaps not shy so much as wary, so if you think you may be interested in knowing more about me then please make contact.
