About her
I enjoy holidays both home and abroad - countryside or coast.
I'm a very keen gardener and have a nice garden - lawns, borders and some raised beds for growing veg. On a summers evening, I find it very relaxing to have friends round just sitting in the garden chatting, laughing and generally enjoying good company.
I enjoy the Theatre especially plays, a couple of years ago whilst staying in London I went to both the Globe and Geilgud Theatres and saw two fantastic plays.
I learnt to play Bridge a few years ago, it's a nice social scene, very challenging and very good for improving the memory and I’ve been on a few Bridge Breaks.
My two daughters have provided me with seven lovely grandchildren and we try to spend some time together during the school holidays.
I have a zest for life, many times I have flown in a friends 4 seater Cessna, first time over Snowdonia, then to Oxford combining it with a visit to Blenheim Palace - fantastic and whilst holidaying in Spain, my friend hired Cessna, we flew over the Costa Blanca coastline. I love all forms of transport from planes to steam trains and I’ve been on a couple of fantastic river cruises with Viking.
After retirement I trained as an Advisor with the CAB - I did this for four years, mainly giving debt advice which I found extremely rewarding.
Friends say I'm compassionate, sweet natured and have a good sense of fun. What I'm missing is a special person in my life to make new memories with.

It would be lovely to meet a similar aged man who has a nice personality, is down to earth and easy to talk to. Someone who has the time and freedom to share some good times with. I would be keen to take an interest in his hobbies/interests - but not mountaineering, scuba diving etc.
I'd like someone to walk with, to stop and smell the roses, holiday with enjoying the beauty of the mountains or the coast, to hold hands with, talk to and enjoy togetherness.
