Loving being actively retired but am not ready to hang up the walking boots yet!
I am well travelled and have lived abroad (Middle East and Southern Africa) but home is where my heart is. I love the Lakes and have done all of the Wainwright fells - one of my greatest achievements (aside of my three wonderful grown-up children). I also love my garden and am trying out the 'good life' by growing a few of my own vegetables. Sharing a love of the outdoors and the good things in life would be important to me. You can't beat a flask of soup on the fells or a glass of wine at the end of a tough walk or over a quick game of scrabble.
When I asked my family to describe me they said I was fun, adventurous, witty, confident and know my own mind. They also said I don't suffer fools gladly.
