About her
I enjoy my own company and I enjoy the company of my many friends. But I miss the company of that very special one.
I am fortunate enough to have enjoyed a fulfilling career, travelling extensively for both business and pleasure. This has included working and living in Beijing for 17 months, an experience I shall always treasure. In the 5 years before I retired in 2019 I worked part time as a freelance business consultant. My final contract was a dream role working from home setting up a charity, linked to one of my passions (rugby). I am now an active trustee of that charity which runs an amazing programme for at risk young people helping them to identify and achieve their goals and ambitions and become our adults of tomorrow.
In addition to my charity work, my retired lifestyle allows me to enjoy my regular gym classes, walking with friends and supporting my favourite rugby team, as well as tending my much admired garden.
I'm also proud to be part of a contemporary ensemble choir that has put on some amazing public performances, including some poignant online performances during the Covid era, recording 3 tracks at no less than the Abbey Road studios, a flashmob in Kings Cross station, (to the delight of passengers and station staff), and singing in Covent Garden piazza as well as in front of the Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square.
It took me a while to return to holidaying abroad post Covid, but in 2024 I went to Rome (for the rugby 6 Nations), Portugal (to check out the venue for my son's wedding June 2025), and to Croatia. Feb 2026 update: just returned from an amazing trip to SE Asia which included the Singapore Sevens 🏉
