I have seven children; they are all grown up and flown the nest, except for my baby Summer, who's 21 doing her finals at Durham.
I play bassoon in an orchestra and a wind band, oboe in a wind orchestra and saxophones in a quartet. I also dabble with strings (Cello, guitar and bass) for fun.
Most of my photography is digital, but occasionally I use a film camera and it really encourages me to slow down and think deeply about the shots (quite Zen like).
My working life has been involved in the design of electronic and computer based systems; I have retrained as an Acupuncturist and Tui Na master and plan to do that rather than electronic design. I would also like to move on to the creation of more accessible and durable artifacts: sculpture maybe musical instruments possibly music.
I love all music that emotes, from Mendelssohn to Muse and from Beethoven to the Beatles. It doesn't matter what, if it hits the spot, I'll love it.
