About him
I am an easy going and caring person that spends a lot of time volunteering in the local community, cooking at home or eating out joining locals for a regular coffee in one of the local cafes. For many years I have been a scout leader, youth leader and senior track and field coach and manager. (now retired) I am also a historian and part time tour guide, I have a high end caravan for doing trips about the Australian countryside and would love to have a companion to share the experience with me. I enjoy visiting small villages and towns and learning about their culture by visiting their cafes and talking to the locals to discover the delights not in the tourist brochures, and of course camping on remote beaches. This is not full time, but trips that are from a few weeks to a couple of months depending on what catches my eye as I am in the habit of detouring to see something that is of interest and am never in a hurry to get anywhere in particular unless it is a festival or other event, I return to home base in Victoria's Mallee countryside in the north western district each time to join in with the towns activities and plan the next trip.
