I’ve not been unable to access this site for ages. Somehow, I can now. Maybe it’s because someone appealing showed up in an email suggestion? Maybe a local man? 🤔😉 Odd, because I usually delete without looking as I couldn’t log in. [Removed]
Coming to the conclusion that online dating is losing its stigma, however, if we meet, can we act like it’s a random encounter and talk as if we hadn’t read all about each other first?
A few years ago, I relocated to a new life in a part of the country that I am not familiar with. Having lived abroad for more than two decades, it’s still taking time adjusting back to life in the UK. It’s a good life, and I have friends but on occasions, I miss the excitement of longing for someone.
I want to be interested in the other person’s opinions, how they arrived at them, what excites them, what they love, what they fear. I’d hope they find me interesting and engaging. I can appear confident and maybe, just a little mischievous, but there is an introvert hiding inside. 🫣
We should be clear on where we stand politically- it is unavoidable in these times. As far as the UK is concerned, if you have any leaning towards Reform and hanging flags in excessively etc., let’s not waste each other’s precious time.
I probably should note that I don’t have children (by choice), I have been married, that was all a long time ago and ended amicably. I carry no emotional baggage from past relationships. I have found that if you simply give it time, the bad stuff fades to the distance and the good memories remain.
Music is my engine, my refuge. I’ve been in bands as a lead and backing vocalist. I have a few guitars and have written and recorded my own songs.
