Enjoy travelling in Europe by car (and with motorhome) - visiting places we would otherwise miss! Also cruising in the Med. Rarely fly....the journey is part of the fun!
Born in W Yorkshire...moved aged 13 (parents divorced) Thus
teenage years were spent in Nottinghamshire. Went to London to work after my itchy feet took me into Europe - Belgium, Italy, France (Holiday Company Rep mid '60's) and Greece finally for a year doing Research for a Sociologist/Author...then Secretarial in London for Editor, Senior Engineer/Partner, well known companies - Home Office. Varied career - like new challenges!
Would like to go back to France - great lifestyle. Now live in my own bungalow in rural Suffolk twixt coast and heathland - with a micro climate! Great weather here - for UK!
Enjoyed NT Volunteering - gardening (has to be done!) and my 2 dogs - unconditional love - both ways.
I enjoy music from the 60's to date - including Ed Sheeran/Andrea Boccelli/Andre Rieu. Classic FM,Sky Arts Pop. Trad jazz, Dancing - from rock n roll to ballroom..now my Hip Ops done I feel confident! again. Got up to The Final Reunion on TV last week (Cliff & The Shadows) and danced with my dogs! :)
I dress appropriate to occasions.
I am Coeliac on a gluten free diet - easy to cater for nowadays.
I enjoy Indian, Chinese, Italian, Greek...meat, fish...salad..variety! Not into lots of fancy cooking and big entertaining - healthy GF food only for me! Life's too short to be sweating over an oven for hours!
Smatterings of Italian & Greek language - ie basics to shop/be polite! French always improves in France!
Changes of scene...good for the soul!
