About him
I am fun to travel and spend time with. My children are grown, almost, one in her second year of University. I was a ski instructor (many, many years ago, but still get out there). Love to river raft (was a river guide over 35 years ago, still try to do a few trips per year. Comfortable taking a small group on medium to moderate white water. I just love rivers) Like to do some big water also, but prefer to take a guide, especially on new rivers.
I like to comfort camp. I also like music, listening not performing! I am a terrible dancer, but pretend no one is ever watching!! I don't care if they are if you don't! I like to walk, hike, shop a little. I try to stay out of the sun because I am fair skinned and have a history of melanoma. I need someone to make sure I wear sunscreen. I'm not good at staying out of the sun......but I should be!!
I like my truck, but have a small fun car when parking is a deal. I have a small dog that is so incredible that everyone wants him!! I am a retired business person. I was a general contractor and like to build and remodel my living spaces but not so much for other people any more. I try to stay involved in a business project that doesn't take all my time but has potential to create good for many.
My daughter says I have my own style and that it is "very cool". I know how to wear a sport coat or suit when I need too. I like to wear shorts and nice shirts and really nice flip flops or sandals or boat shoes!! I'm a decent sailor, comfortable on the water and like to fish occasionally (actually I like to catch more than fish!) and never more that a few hours at a time (that whole sun deal again).
I'm a decent tennis player, terrible golfer and not the athlete that I ever wanted to be. I do not like to watch sports on television!! I like movies and to watch some shows on television and maybe 30-45 minutes of news every other day.

In addition to enjoying the things I mentioned above, I like a partner that can be herself and not try to be what I want her to be. I hope she likes to eat and perhaps cook, even together! NOT every meal but sometimes.
I want a partner that wants to be around family, both our families, and be encouraging and excepting. Likes good conversations across many topics. Have good holidays together, has her own friends but is inclusive and FUN!!
Travel that varies in nature and location so that we get to see new and exciting things together. I other words I don't want a single vacation home or location that we go to every chance we get. Please know how to enjoy yourself! I do not like smoking, but if you like to go outside very, very occasionally and it's not on your mind all the time, I understand. Lite drinking is fine as well, even moderate drinking now and then but definitely no heavy drinking
ever.
I like to celebrate my children's (hopefully one day grandchildren's) accomplishments, birthdays and special events. Your children's or grandchildren's too!! Maybe even all together. In fact I'd love for all of our families event's be celebrated together. I don't like to be alone for long or extended periods but I do like to work on small projects by myself. Unless you don't mind getting dirty! then you can participate if you don't criticize........much!! I'm a little OCD when it comes to straight lines and symmetry. (but who isn't? right?)
I'm a little sarcastic! Just a little and never with intent to make anyone feel bad. except if you criticize my dog!! He doesn't take it well! Kidding!! Only kidding!
Not sure if anyone is out there for me or if I'm even looking in the right places. But I think I have characterized myself accurately.
