Likes - a nice cold peroni, pepperoni pizza with chilli oil, glass of red. "Friday Night Dinner" "Peep Show" and "Fleabag". Watching the ships sail past the Wind Farm on their way to who knows where. My kids who grew up so fast and my mum who went too soon.
Dislikes - Anti-vaxxers, Flat earthers, Science refuseniks as a group. Arrogance, rudeness, loudness.
Broccoli - when I rise to power, broccoli farmers will be the first against the wall.
I live by the sea in Whitstable. If I could climb onto my roof with a pair of binoculars I could probably see it from here. But I don't have a death wish so generally I hop in the car and drive 5 minutes, so I can go for a run along the seafront. Overall it's not a bad life - I still do some work, out of choice, but it fits around my tennis, pickleball and volunteering. Leisure first, work second. It's a small town but there is a remarkably active social scene and I've found my place in it.
I like my life here and I'm not looking to swap it for something else any time soon. Nor do I want to bring anyone into my current activities - I have plenty of sports partners to play with.
Rather I'd like to find someone to enjoy the downtime with, to add another dimension to both our lives. Food, wine, theatre, dancing, seeing new places together, exploring, learning, falling in love. The things that make life worth living.
