Deep breath, here goes!
I’m intelligent, elegant, down to earth, kind and friends tell me I’m great company with a good sense of humour. I’m easy going and don’t take myself too seriously.
I’ve had a very demanding career and now it’s my time to travel and have fun as I’ve recently semi retired. Finding myself single at this stage of my life wasn’t part of the plan!
My happy place is by the water or driving through the countryside in the UK or abroad. I’ve recently passed my powerboat licence but am really a sailor at heart. I’m a Francophile and there’s nothing better than a road trip through France and through the Swiss alps. I’m a foodie, love to cook and eat out whether it’s for a country pub, fancy restaurant or bag of chips on the beach.
I enjoy the culture of London - theatre, galleries, eating out - coupled with the peace of the Surrey countryside or Hampshire coast.
I like to keep fit and with more time on my hands try to do 2/3 classes or gym visits a week (I make myself do this, I’m no gym bunny!). I enjoy walking, particularly if there’s a pub or cafe lunch or cuppa en route. Are you getting the picture?!
I am a busy person and have a great social life coupled with volunteering to chair a couple of education charities to keep my brain active.
But, as they say, you can be lonely in a crowd. So here I am looking for a lovely man to share simple pleasures, a decent glass of wine, laughter and growing old together disgracefully.
